Nearly two decades of working in the magazine, publishing, marketing and communication fields, motherhood and myriad volunteer experiences have provided me with keen insight and multiple skills to apply to editorial, corporate and non-profit freelance projects.

A non-fiction book I proofread entitled Dirty Science: 25 Experiments with Soil, written by Shar Levine and Leslie Johnstone and illustrated by Lorenzo Del Bianco (Scholastic Canada), won the 2013 Science in Society Book Award in the childrens category for outstanding contributions to science writing from the Canadian Science Writers’ Association. And the YA novel Dance of the Banished by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch (Pajama Press), for which I was the proofreader, won the 2015 Geoffrey Bilson Award for Historical Fiction for Young People.
